Collection: Holiday favs

When you step into the shop you are likely greeted by one of our kind TREEHOUSE team members.  We are all here with the love of toys, people, crafts, and spending our days surrounded by play.  One thing that we love is learning about our toys and we love to give ideas to our customers on how to engage with their kids at home.  

This year we decided to share our love for our favorite toys so friends from afar could get a glimpse into our shop and knowledge and passion of play that we love so much.  It is our goal to provide our audience with  quality toys but also give inspiration to families on how to engage with their children and be a part of the magic

Magantiles

These colorful magnetic tiles are hands down our favorite toy.  I always have to warn customers that yes, they are an investment, but so worth it.  Magnatiles are a great introduction of building and architecture.  We have known of many schools to use these tiles as visuals for geometry and teaching 3 Dimensional design.  The engagement with Magnatiles lasts for years which makes them a dream toy for us!  There were 4 years where shopbaby had these at the top of her gift wish list!  

Plus-plus

Plus Plus are small little shapes  (2 plus signs) that can be attached together in 2 dimensional flat pieces or used to make elaborate 3 dimensional creations.  They are great for ages 3+.  These are great for people who love legos but they are very different and entertaining in their own way and a perfect little fidget toy.  Plus Plus are  made in Denmark and our friend in Greenville is their USA idea master and does their product development.  We have loved having them be a staple in our shop over the years and watch their ideas grow!  Another thing….they fit perfectly in stocking!

Maileg

Fun fact……Maileg was my first order that I had shipped to the shop,  over 14 years ago.  That is a good sign that it’s something that we love and our customers love too!  Kids and adults alike are obsessed with the magical world of the lovely crafted  minatures.  They are mostly known for the matchbox mice but over the years we have expanded our collection to include their mouse castles, furniture, and accessories.  We have loved watching families grow their collections throughout the years and hear about all of the stories of kids having fun with their magical mouse worlds!

Micro scooters

These scooters are the gold standard of scooters.  They can endure the rough and tumble activity of kids and we have several options to allow for all of the ages! The 3 in 1 is great for kids starting at 12 months and transforms into a regular scooter as your child grows.  Most options fold down for easy transportation.  We have brought these scooters to NYC and Paris to allow for a breezy vacation and eliminate the grumbles of too much walking.  

Green Toys

Green toys are another quality staple around the shop.  They are not just cute and durable but they also are made in the USA from recycled milk jugs.  A truly ethical company that believes in making the world a better place.  Our best sellers are always the tugboat and dump truck but families come back for more to create their Green Toys village.  Oh yeah, they are great for outside play too!

Callico Critters

Yeah, we are obsessed with tiny cute things.  Calico Critters are one of those toys that I played with as a child in the 80s when they were called Sylvanian Families. It was one of the toys that my parents saved and then shop baby played with.  These critters are infectious amongst all ages as adults have been collecting them too and displaying them amongs their blind box collections.  Tiny and cute?  Sign us up!

Rody

TREEHOUSE wouldn’t be the same without a rainbow heard of Rody’s.  These adorable bouncy horse-like creatures have been made in Italy since the 80’s.  They are great for toddlers and we even have Rody max for those who need to upgrade.  They are durable and promote activity and core strength to young children.  They look pretty cute with a bow ono underneatht the tree!

Sarah’s Silks

Our most Frequently  asked question in our shop is probably, “How do you play with a playsilk?”.  These simple silks can be used for anything that your imagination comes up with.  Shopbaby was  a huge fan of silks using them with blocks on the floor, as any costume she could dream up, babydoll carriers, flags, forts and more.  These simple silks provide hours and hours of magical play! 

Quadrilla Marble Runs

These wooden block sets are the perfect gift for any tinkerer and inverter.  In the spirit of Rube Goldberg's chain reactive machines, these marble run blocks can be used to make many different reactions and scenarios.  I promise it’s one that the adults will want to pay with too!

Outdoor Ninja Play

Getting our kiddos outside can be a challenge.  Our selection of ninja ropes, swings, slacklines,  ziplines and more can be a great option!  We have many options to build your own or add onto existing outdoor wonderlands! 

Japanese Blind Boxes

Over the years we have grown our section of fun blind boxes which mostly come to us from Japan.  Lately these surprise boxes have been a fun collector toy for teens and adults.  We love that all ages are taking part in play and joy!  If you want a truly unique hard to find gift…….Blind boxes are a cute and unique gift for all!

Pocket Change (stocking stuffers)

It is a little known secret in town that TREEHOUSE has the best stocking stuffers.  We love curating a section of things that are fun, small, low cost, quality, and inspiring.  They are always great for kids to pop in and spend their allowance on or pop into a stocking!
